LandPowerTV interview

This month I have stepped out in front of the camera for LandPower TV

Aimed at farmers and farm contractors, LandPowerTV.com is a brand-new farm machinery video streaming service, featuring reviews, interviews and behind the scenes specials. As described by James Rickard, founder of LandPowerTV, “It is basically like Netflix and Amazon Prime for farm machinery”.

While I like talking to people, I will admit that I was nervous at the prospect of being on camera. If you are not used to it, it is quite unnatural. James said to think of it as just a conversation between the two of us, which I did, forgot the camera was even there and I really enjoyed it.

The interview focused on our new range of compact front boxes as you can watch here. This is our new range of agricultural storage solutions, front mounted to tractors to provide more onboard storage for tools and spares.

Video is an ideal, and easy, way of getting the message across for our range of products and services. Think of the difference between a product picture and a video. The picture /photo can only show so much, you still need additional information to answer other questions people might have about it. In a video we can show our products in action, allowing farmers to get an immediate understanding of its applications. It is much more helpful.

Also, the reach is fantastic – I went for a haircut the following week and the barber said, “I like your video”! You don’t expect that from your barber! You could argue he is not my target customer but equally it is interesting how video is shared.

There are more LandPowerTV videos to come. Spoiler alert – the Silo Crab is the focus of next month’s interview. The Silo Crab is a bespoke built attachment we have built being the dairy industry’s first device for collecting leftover material from the feed fence to save famers expenditure, time, and manpower. So stay tuned for that!

Once subscribed to LandPowerTV.com, content can be streamed on demand. Content is split into categories which includes tractors, loaders, self-propelleds and implements, with more to follow as the site develops.

You can also watch for free by following LandPowerTV on YouTube and Facebook, where bitesize videos of reviews will be posted.
